I’m Graham Crees MIPWS. My career in construction began on the tools, working for many years as a carpenter and joiner before progressing into site management roles on a wide range of projects across the UK.

Having worked hands-on in the trades, I understand construction from the ground up – how buildings are put together, how details work on site, and where issues can arise if works are not properly planned or managed.

As my career developed, I moved into site management, overseeing residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. This involved coordinating multiple trades, managing programmes and budgets, and ensuring works were delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with building regulations and project specifications.

Before qualifying as a Party Wall Surveyor, I spent many years preparing schedules of works, managing health and safety through risk assessments, and dealing with the practical realities of construction on live sites. This experience means my approach is not just document-led or theoretical – it is firmly grounded in real construction practice.

Today, that background allows me to provide clear, practical Party Wall advice that works in the real world. I understand the pressures faced by building owners, contractors, and adjoining owners alike, and I focus on solutions that protect all parties while keeping projects moving safely, compliantly, and with minimal conflict.
